I posted this coin when I received it a few weeks ago, but my thread didn’t explicitly ask for grade opinions. I’d like to fix that.

I am new to old copper and I am unsure of grade with many large cents and half cents.

Can you help me out and give me some grade opinions?

The obverse die was clearly very worn, and much more worn than the reverse and that’s what stymies me. Please help. 4626D6AB-A31E-486E-A5CB-258BB9D92ABA.jpeg 4C11AED0-E843-4949-A493-DF67807F854D.jpeg

Really nice, Mike. The Louisiana Purchase was in 1803. What a lovely slice of our history!

    Unanimous consensus!
    G4 obverse, VG8 reverse. Net G6.

This seems to be often the case with the draped bust half cents - stronger reverses than obverses.
