I'm jumping towards F-12, but the leaves on the obverse and feathers on reverse seem a little weak. Liberty looking strong is my only justice for the grade, but i need a second opinion. this is another one picked up for $8 at the F.U.N show.
It used to be if liberty was all there it was at least a fine , according to ANA grading standards it still is , so F-12 sounds right even though the rest of the head is VG . rzage
Taken as a whole, I'd call the coin vg-10. The headband has fine detals, but rim, leaves, feathers etc. are all vg. Still a great buy for $8 dollars and many people would grade this coin f-12, just my opinion.
On the staples: Crush them down. the ones on the right in your picture are going to damage the next 2X2 in the box. F-12.
they're a light purple! and its what the wife had loaded in the stapler.. go figure, she is a kindergarten teacher. and the reason i haven't crushed down the staples yet is because, well, i just haven't yet. :smile
I agree , every time I look at that staple I think of the MS Barber dime one scratched , a pair of needlenose pliers works great at gettig it in to the cardboard . rzage:thumb:
I would have no problem buying that coin as a F-12. Most technically, it's not quite there, but so close that I can't imagine anyone quibbling over it.
