I'm curious about grading standards on ancient/medieval coins. I have a nice Medieval/Early Renaissance Grosso from Venice. I'm curious as to what folks more familiar with the era would designate the grade.
    Thanks!

So is "full fine" the same as fine, very fine or extra fine? I did some research and can't find a standard scale.

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

I'm no good at grading, but this one would have to be pretty darn high on the scale. Just a tad flat on the doge and his saint buddy's nose, everything else looks GREAT!

I am late here, but I have been looking at several of these at eBay. Your example is EX condition. Apparently, these coins are surprisingly quite common and cheap. I am looking for a well struck example much like yours.
