Does NCG have a guarantee on their slab grades such as PCSG does?

Thats interesting. So if you buy a slabbed coin from NGC then your acquiring a level of warranty on that coin, say like a MS67 coin actually more MS61?

Yeah, NGC does have a grading guarantee like PCGS. But they do have some limitations, like with coppers. Plus, there's the dreaded "clerical error." So if they accidentially slab an 09 VDB Lincoln as an 09-S VDB, you better examine the coin, as they do not have to guarantee that.

I believe most, if not all, of the so called reputable grading services place themselves, and themselves only, in the position of deciding if your claim has merit. Other than making the initial request, you have no input, and no other third or independent parties are allowed to have any input in such a matter. Seems a bit of conflict of interest IMO, but you can read their parameters concerning the matter firsthand on their websites.

    Basically the same as PCGS.
