Does anyone have any good references for how to grade commemoratives. It seems like the only guide I have that covers them is the red book, and that doesn't even cover all of them. Thanks in advance!

I have a grading book from the ANA (the exact title escapes me, and I don't keep my books next to the computer) that lists the high points of each coin, commemorative and circulation. Not perfect, but you at least know where to start looking for wear.

If you don't already have it get the PCGS grading guide :D :D In fact they might give you one.
I know they have a newer one but I have the old edition and its great!!!
It has a part for each Comm and tells what part of the detail will show wear first.....since most Comm's won't have wear I grade them more by the marks and eye appeal....I might be doing it all wrong....
I ran a search on Ebay for the old PCGS guide.....they didn't have it but the have 4 copys of the newer one....

    Thanks speedy,
I do have the PCGS grading guide, but I must have skipped over the section on commemoratives, probably since they don't appeal to me much. I could've sworn I read that thing cover to cover, but sure enough, the information is there. Boy oh boy do I feel dumb for asking that question :headbang: , on the plus side I have the reference. THanks!
