I'm terrible at grading Ikes, and was wondering what kind of grade this 1972 type 2 would be. My guess would be around AU58.
How's the luster? Since Ikes are clad they are a harder metal. So unless you're seeing wear on the eagles breast feathers that I'm not, I would say ms62
If you are saying AU58 because you see slight rubs & tiny contact marks indicative of the coin being in a pocket with a hankerchief & some small change, then I agree with your AU58 oppinion. If you don't really see those little breaks in the luster indicative of the pocket experience, then I would guess MS64. I don't see those breaks in the luster that would make it AU.
