Nice. Are we sure it's authentic?

Apparently it comes with documentation saying its from the ship wreck Hollandia.

Beats me if its real... it looks real. :)

The seller has many old 'pirate' type booty and 99.8% feedback, over 3,000 stars and is based in the UK, If that helps to convince ..

It doesn't look like a "ship wreck effect" coin.....

This coin below is also from the Hollandia wreck.
It is said this was one of the finer examples from the wreck. Yet the one on eBay looks way better. FAKE?

It is hard to say if the coin was genuine or not based on the pics. It looks genuine but may easily not be. You would need to know the weight and examine it in hand to find out for sure.

I will agree that the coin does not appear to be from a shipwreck. And were it genuine it should have sold for considerably more than it did even if it were not from a shipwreck.

Very true that if it was genuine it would have sold for much more.. but again, one of the major draws of numismatics is "the find" whatever it may be. The coin no one thought was worth anything and you saw it differently and low and behold, it was worth much more then you purchased it for!

One can only hope and get more "coin-educated" thanks for the comments people!
    Appreciate it.
