This is my fathers coin, was found metal detecting, he cleaned it with a toothbrush, I was only 9 at the time so I didn't know better to stop him.

It was white when it came out of the ground, but has toned since.

Also, please determine a value for insurance purposes (mailing).

I'm not seeing the wear to make it go XF, I KNOW it's details, but I would say AU.

Too many hits for an AU grade in my opinion.

I'm not sure there's enough hair detail for AU. A few other high points have wear, like the right leg talons. XF45?

    PCGS says 350 on a 34 XF45.

There is really not a price guide for coins such as this. That makes it a guessing game as to what someone would pay for it. The toning is probably a little helpful because it's hiding some of the cleaning marks. If I had to put a price on it, I would guess it's about half of the same coin with no problems. At the same time I'm shocked with the prices some pay on Ebay for problem coins. Even with the problems, it's really cool it was pulled from the ground.
