Ok, all as promised I have posted another grade this. This one is a beauty!!! A 1917-D Standing Liberty! I am sorry if the pics look a bit purplish, I tried to get detail. The luster is all there on this one, so don't be afraid to say MS!!! Please do enjoy...
I hate to even guess a grade on that coin. All I'll say is I wish it were mine! Great coin, Mike!! Guy~
Full Head for sure. The shield has all its rivets AND the emblem in the center looks fully struck. Can't tell if there's any rubs or not. With no rubs, easily a 65, maybe more.
That is one of my favorite coin designs. I'm looking for a nice type 1 myself. I'll go MS-65FH. Sweet coin!!
I have no idea.... My first thought was AU because of high-point rub. The more I look at the coin the more I think I'm wrong, so I'm going to guess 63 FH.
I have nothing new to add; the prior posters are on top of the game. Yeppers, it's a really exceptional strike. All the rivets, strong emblem, looks like full head. I'm thinkin' MS64 FH. Maybe better. Nice coin, bro ! :thumb:
Great coin! Perfect strike! I think that the grading services allow for luster breaks on the high points on these, so I'm pretty sure it's mint state. I see maybe a tiny tick on the front leg of Liberty, but I am still going to say gem- MS65-FH
Wow, what a nice Standing Liberty and a Type I at that! Although there appears to be hits on the "D" and the "O" in DOLLAR (note the reflection pickup from whatever caused the purple tinting and reflections), I still believe that it received ot should have received an MS-66FH with the notation of a Full Shield.
