Hey everyone Im very new to collecting bust halves and I just aquired these four from my grandparents a few weeks ago and I was wondering what you would grade them and what they might be worth. Any info on the varieties I have would be appreciated. I want to learn more about bust halves and Im not really interested in selling them anytime soon but it would just be nice to keep tabs on the value of my collection.

    Thanks!

    How about:
    1812 - F10
    1831 - (1st one - F12, 2nd one - F-15)
    1834 - F12

Thanks Bone, I need to pick up a copy of photograde or something because my own grading abilities are rather limited.

I don't have a copy of it either. I just compare them to coins I've seen over the years with similar grades and "Vola."

Haha that would be helpfull if I had more to compare with, Ive seen a handfull of bust halves in person before so I am a complete newb when it comes to those.

So does anyone have some information on these coins, interesting facts, different die varieties, etc etc?

As for grade, I'd say they are all VG 8. But that 1812, looks like somebody made a small addition to it. Look right in front of the ear - 2 .

The photos are too small to give definative answers to which overton # they are. Do you have larger scans? Then I could help.
