Grade the Merc.

    If I'm going to collect them, I'd better learn to grade them. So help me out here. Whats your opinion on the grade of this one?

    IMO. I'd say it is a F-12 unless that mark on the right side of the reverse is a dent.
    The diagonal bands on the fasces are worn flat but you should be able to make out the vertical lines there. The obverse may go to F-15 due to the detail left in the feathers.

    I concur. It appears to be a solid F-12 or so.

    rzage What Goes Around Comes Around .

    I'd say F-12 , But the reverse barely makes F-12 so it just barely makes the fine grade . The overall grade goes to the weakest side .
