Here is an 1849 penny which was :rolling: one of the coins used to buy Sutter's Mill in California! Who knows it might be. Anyway, what grade would you say this Large Cent might receive. Thanks Bone
I'd say a F-15. It has full chords, but not full hair. Most of the hair is visible though. I just noticed that there seems to be either a hit on the obverse and reverse. It also looks like it could just be coin junk that go stuck to the coin. Is the coin damaged on its rim? If so this will obviously hinder its grade value.
Yes, there is a nick on the rim from when the OutLaw Alfredo Garcia threw it up into the air and shot it with his pistol B
He was a good shot as he got it twice....once on the obverse and once on the reverse Given that their in the same location, this coin was either in jewelry, or met up with a vice grip at some point.
Rediculous...no not at all....look at these places....LIBERTY is not strong...it is there and that makes it VF but the tops of some of the letters are fading....the 2 nicks inside the rim also take it down....the coin has been cleaned at some point in time too...you can tell that by the dirt around ONE CENT while the rest of the coin is nice and clean...the hair doesn't show much detail at all...this would be VG for sure....maybe a NET VG but a VG none the less. Nope---my friend Garcia is the one tha shoots the pistol....I shoot the rifle...it goes farther... Speedy
