Hey all.Well I just got my first GAE 1/10 oz UNC.Now I know nothing of grading myself and was wondering if it would be worth it to get it graded.Coin looks as good as my MS69 SAE's but again I have very untrained eyes. What do yall think?

I do not think these have ever been counterfeited. That is my main reason for having coins slabbed.

I would not have it graded. It is only worth having it graded if you are going to put it in a registry. BTW Welcome to the forum.

I agree, I would not spend the money to have it graded either.

As to counterfeit AGE's - I can't say I know of any either. But I do know of counterfeit examples for the platinum and the silver. That says to me that counterfeits for the gold exist too. They just haven't been discovered yet.

I have heard that there are a lot of counterfeit Canadian gold maple leaves, but that they are pretty easy to spot as they are gold plated and do not weigh the right amount.
