I'd say MS63. The reverse looks pretty beat up in my opinion. I'm assuming you cut it out of the cello packaging from a mint set?

Yes and the reverse is a product of the lighting i took quick photos and in hand the reverse actually doesnt look nearly as bad. Also look on Ebay at some examples you will quickly realize alot of 65s have similiar small lines on the reverse.

Never mind, the pics are fine. IMO it is a 62, but I can be very wrong. it has a lot of chatter on the reverse and I was thinking of dropping it to a 61, but Ikes tend to be chatty.

I agree with '63 if what were're seeing on the reverse is on the coin and not on the mint (2x2, etc.) packaging.

I don't know about that, sometimes the camera brings out what the naked eye doesn't see or detect with the reflections, etc. I attached your reverse with circles of what looks like to me pretty deep dings that would not make this a MS65 in my opinion.

Here's a good example of a MS65 reverse for comparison.

Hopefully you can tell the difference between this one and yours. ;)

nicer picks. I think I'll stay with my grade though. See the scratch across the bell about 1/4 of the way up. I'm a rookie at grading business strike ikes though

The mint is different but comparing how it's graded is the same.

Also, that one in the ebay link you pointed out, although the pictures are not that good, actually looks better than yours, but getting better pictures of it would be helpful. Yours has way more dings and more scuffed up looking area under the bell in my opinion. I'm sticking to MS63, maybe even MS62 if the grader at TPG is having a rough day. ;)

  20. I am a big fan of this coin and have a lot of these raw. I agree with MS63. Maybe a 64 from NGC but PCGS is pretty tough on these and would likely give a 63. Big price jump to the gem MS65 grade. TC
