grade of moderns

    do you agree with the grading of modern coins ?

    I thought all moderns were made to be a ms69

    Nope, that is only when you're selling them. When buying, they are all MS/PR 70.

    I dont even think that modern coins should be graded. lol

    Generally yes. The minting process is much better now than decades ago, and a large number of coins seem to come out fairly close to perfect. But what that means is that in the future they might not appreciate in value as much because there will be very little condition rarity compared to old coins.

    Pupa...most modern uncirculated coins would be lucky to get an MS-67 grade.They pile them,toss them,jingle them and throw them in big bags and shake them around so that 99.999999% have at least some dings. :goofer:
