Grade my 1926 D Buffalo Nickel

    I was given a nice little group of coins from my mother-in-law and in it was this buffalo nickel. What grade would you give it? The price for this coin jumps at VF 20, but I don't think this one gets there (Darn it!). Your opinions are most welcome as I am not a very experienced grader.

    F15, but it could be a VF20

    F15+ I like to see atleast 7/8 horn if not full horn at VF

    Yeah, I feel F15 too... still a nice coin.

    15, maybe a 12. Still a F coin, IMO.

    The pictures make it seem like it's very worn, but I think it compares favorably with the PCGS VF-20 coin that I posted a link to upthread. Better pictures would help in the grading.

    I'll try to get some better pics of it using sunlight rather than the small lamp that I used for this pic. I'll post later today. As Merc said, regardless, this coin was free so I'm very pleased to have it. :)

    Here are some different pics......but I don't see anything better than the F-15 mentioned earlier. I'm interested if anyone thinks differently with the new pics.

    With the new pictures, it looks like your coin is F.

    Your nickel is fine to very fine.
