I got this in some corny historic coin collection today and wonder what it might grade at. I was unable to locate a mint mark anywhere and I have never had a non-fake Morgan before.

    Thanks In Advance !

It was struck in Philadelphia so it will have no mintmark. The coin is a highly buffed and polished EF/AU worth approximately melt.

Yeah that stinks that it's been polished. Kangayou, are you familiar with this and how to tell that it has been buffed?

I wasn't sure about the Morgan because I have never had a real 1 in my hands before. I know I should have known better since I did know that out of the 85 total coins and bronze medals in this set , it was obvious that the Jefferson Nickels had all been wizzed. I think if I take out all the coins and throw away the wall hanging display case ( so I don't have to try to ship it ) , I could sell the silver coins for melt value & all the non-silver US coins for at least 3x face ( since they each have there own little airtight ). The 1938-D Buffalo hasn't been cleaned or wizzed. The 7 large bronze Presidential Medals will probably sell for over $5.00 each in the Exonumia catagory. The 1957 B series Silver Cert should bring about $7.00 . I might just break even after eBay & PayPal takes their respective cuts. So if nothing else , I at least got more product to sell while I am in "build my ratings" mode.
