grade my 1851 coronet cent

    hi guys... need your opinion on the grade of this cent based on sheldon scale. :confused:

    i dont live in the US, and i just acquired this coin from my local shop.

    XF45 I'd say.

    Somewhere between B12 and GDJSMP. Value really wont make a difference with these couple of points.
    Nice coin.

    XF-40. Maybe XF-45 if you get lucky.

    Thanks for your opinions guys... It appears that we have a consensus; at least XF-40 for the coin. :)

    Same EF-40 or 45

    Obverse is stronger

    Xf40 nice chocolate color though, very consistant.

    What are the marks under the wreath on the reverse?

    ok, let's see... the top one is a mark, caused by some sharp object... but it's not as deep as the pic shows. And an old mark as far as I can tell from the toning. The lower one is a piece of fibre from the 2x2 flip. :D
