    Any opinions? All are welcome!:fish:
    What would you grade it?
    What's it worth?
    Is it cool?
What would you do if you found it?
    Is this worth grading?

I think that's probably about AU58. But with a CUD like that, I think the grade isn't as important as the error is. I am thinking about $5 for a fair value.

I save the ones I find as conversation pieces along with my errors and varieties. I have never purchased or sold any of them, but DVN.com might have a price guide

Could be wrong, but I don't think that's an ordinary cud. Looking at the inside edge of it I believe it is also a cracked planchet, and the coin was struck slightly off center. And it might be a partial collar error too.

$3-5 is about the correct price for this coin.. the coins you are referencing on ebay have the distinction of being called Atheist Coins.. Where the word GOD is either gone or mostly missing. There are many collectors that collect just atheist coins. Placement of the CUD does have a bearing on price indeed. Its a keeper, enjoy your find.

Not off centered IMO. Just a slightly misaligned strike. I think it was a CUD at one point. However, it was tooled to outline the CUD's position. Just my opinion.

and esp not off center, possibly a minor MAD

I have to disagree, Being a 1985 Cent the layer of copper over zinc is so thin that you couldn't possibly tool it like that without exposing the zinc. This coin is probably one of the first few produced after the piece of the die broke off. The edge of the break was still sharp and left a crisp line on the edge of the cud.

You might want to look a little closer guys, you don't get a railroad rim from misaligned dies. And that coin has a railroad rim. You get it from a collar being open and the coin being struck slightly off center.

It could also be invaluable. What is it they call those things that are interpreted as messages from God or even Mary? This coin seems to be saying 'We' doesn't Trust in God.

I don't see how you think it's "tooled" If it was tooled it would chip the copper away. I pulled this out of a roll from the bank and threw it in a flip for protection. Nothing was done to it.

    $5

If wildly marketed to a couple bidiots, the price could go to $15.

It is cool & if I found it, then I would keep it (raw) with the other similar coins in my collection.

And I do believe that the guys here are on the tight end of market prices. Theyre really into coins and have seen a lot of whats out there and they have very discerning eyes. The market as a whole doesnt necessarily consist of such astute numismatists. :D However, I do believe this forum and others like it are GREAT places to get input on value. It gives you part of the range and earthbounds your heavenly hopes.
