I was at a petrol (gas) station today and needed change for the car-wash. Among the coins was this 2017 Italian 2 Euro coin.
    https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces107086.html
It was struck for 1 year only as a circulating commemorative with a mintage of 1,500,000.
Also struck were 21,000 in unc sets and 8,000 proofs.
It has a couple of dings on the rim but I am wondering if this is from a set that has found it's way into circulation or is just a regular oin that has managed to avoid much damage.
My first thought when I saw it was a proof because of the sharpness of the rims, but then reality kicked my wishful thinking into touch, lol

    Cool!
I collected as many 2 Euro coins I could during the 5 weeks I was in Germany. I ended up with around 25. Never saw this one though!

No I never have either, but when you see the low mintage and it is a commemorative, I guess a lot of people have kept them.
We have a large ceramic pig where we throw all 2 euro coins, must have over 500 by now. Will be fun to eventually go through them

Nice find in circulation. I hope it is what you want it to be.
