i have been waiting for this note to come in all week. its from the prosperity series of notes the BEP put out. from what i have seen they made very limited amounts of these notes. perhaps less than 10,000 i dont know if that is from each block HH - HK they all start with 8888 in the serial. most were used for 4 note sheets. i know they had single notes, as i have one in my possession. it is super crisp and has razor sharp corners.

This is from one of the BEP's "Lucky Money" sheets. Serial blocks reported so far are H..D through H..K. All were issued as eight-subject partial sheets; anything smaller than that has been cut outside the BEP. The serials on each sheet skip 1125 numbers from position to position, meaning that there were at most 9000 notes printed for each block (but in fact the printage was probably a good bit lower than that, around 8000 notes per block, since nobody seems to have seen a serial with more than six leading eights).

Incidentally, you can still order these straight from the BEP, but you don't get to choose your serial block that way. If anybody orders one, be sure to let us know what you get; it's been a long time since any new blocks were reported, and I keep expecting an H..L to turn up any time now.... (Note that the first sale date for these sheets was in October 2004, so none of them were printed anywhere near the time period when the old $5 design was actually current, and there's nothing stopping the BEP from printing up a new batch when they run low.)
