I was shocked. I got an offer from the National Collector's Mint in the mail saying that collectors could again order that silver clad "coin" showing the "Freedom Tower". This time the offer says it's clad and not legal tender.I was surprised, as I thought the so-called coin had been banned from sale and those minted were destroyed.
Myron, cashing in on the September 11 terrorist attacks is in very poor taste. How much was this 'National Collector's Mint' crowd charging for this item? Aidan.
Myron: I think that the problem was that the original piece was too close to regular coinage, plus the promotion as a 'coin'. Also, there was a question about the silver that was being used, apparently they were only using a tiny percentage of WTC silver, and promoting it as WTC silver.
Greetings, I've seen the recent one running on tv and they say this coin will never go into circulation so hurry up and order yours. Or some such nonsense, but did say coin won't go into circulation. Its some gimmick to make you think hurry up and buy this one before its too late. Bruce
its a HOX. That what it is. I hope they all get melted.NO ONE should buy even one. Let that company sink. Did any of you hear how there was a big law suite because of those first so called WTS silver coins?
