Got my 1877 IHC back from NGC and a debate

    Ok, the before slabbing pictures:

    I figured the coin would get the AG3 rating, but part of me hoped for that G4. ;) :goofer:

    NOW, should I have this one graded? I mean it would look super awesome fantastic in an album. Evenly toned and what not.

    personally no. im not into graded coins. i'm a hobbiest really. BUT...if you feel its important to do so then yes by all means.

    to be fair i'll give you a "why not?", it wont hurt anything to have it graded.

    give ya a dollar for it. lol i kid i kid!

    The 1877 doesn't have full rims... looks like a nice AG3. The 1887 doesn't appear to have enough luster to go uncirculated (looks like a dullish AU from the pictures), so I don't think you'll get the grading fee back out of it. If you want a nice presentation, CoinWorld slabs are an excellent choice.

    Nice job with the 1877. I was slightly afraid that it might get bb'ed because of the scratches.
