Playing cards on a golf trip to Maryland with some friends... One guy brought a roll of quarters (nickel-dime game). He threw this in the pot, which I won. You never know where you will find 90% silver!
To the people and merchants who don't collect, this is nothing but a quarter to them. Most of the pre-64 quarters I have were found in change, but none recently in the past 10 years or so, more common back in the 80-90s. At least as a youngling, my dad always told me, if you find a quarter or dime that's '64 or older, keep it, so I did.
I used to play poker with a bunch of old men. I got more silver through that weekly poker game than any other way, other than buying at melt value, lol.
