    Hi Guys,
I just got the Spink Coins of England book, and there is lots of useful information in here! However, they list a ton of varieties as well, without really providing info on what it looks like. For example the first and second head of young Victoria Sovereigns. Anyone with good resources for a closer examination of British varieties, of any era?
    Many Thanks,
    Peter

I am in the UK and collect British coins, but not Sovereigns or much in the way of varieties.
I know there are various books - I believe Davies for Silver, Peck or Freeman for Bronze and Moore for Gold. I would suggest you post on http://www.predecimal.com/forum/ where there are numerous avid variety collectors. They will point you in the right direction. Some of the info (for Farthings and Pennies for example) is well supported online, but for others you need the books.

The above link found in the website looks like a helpful resource.

I don't collect coins ... but I do accumulate visitors.

    Thank you, again.
