    "Starting in 2006, the U.S. Mint will release five new pennies per year for the next 629 years. While the process will be a long one, residents of the nation's 3,143 counties and county equivalents have already begun debating how their regions should be depicted."


    The whole thing was hilarious. The Onion is one of my favorite web sites. Love it!

    LOL.....funny stuff. Used to be a "daily subscriber" to the onion when it started, been a long time since I visited it. Good to see its still around ;)

    man i could expect mine to be minted in say 2200, that sounds about right, cant wait to get it :rolleyes:

    Being originally from one of the colonial counties in Maryland, I might actually live to see mine. But, in an attempt to cut other counties' potential designs off at the knees, the design will be based on the airport in the county (Baltimore-Washington International - BWI).
