As many of you read about my find yesterday that the lady wouldn't sell know that I said it was sad...well today it was made well... I always look at my change and since we have just been talking about the 92-98-99-00-01-02 Wide AM cents I just thought I would look at come cents I got from the Post Office...(Bill...here is one for your CW article) I found a 1992 Wide AM cent!!!...not it great grade but I would say XF...it still shows some luster but the wear on the back takes it down from AU IMO... Does anybody have an idea on what it would be worth... I'm going to be sending out some coins to ANACS...would it be worth it to send it with them?? As you all know I'm not big on varietys or this type of coin...but its nice to find and if its worth anything...it sure would be nice. Speedy
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the 1992 is supposed to be a Wide AM (read properly spaced), it wasn't until '93 that someone goofed (imo) and put the M too close to the A. If you had a close AM on the the '92, that would be something else...
Tony After going back and reading up on it I see you are right....thanks for the info... Its my own fault that I didn't remember that... Speedy
I had one of those get me a few months back myself, thought I had something...I just happened to be going through my Red Book last night the Close AM (vs Wide) on the 1992-D stuck in my head.
