A buddy of mine is offering his pcgs au53 1806 draped bust half for $4000 to me. Seems like a good deal but don't know much about those. It's a mostly white coin... just a little toning. Any thoughts? He says he paid $4100 2 years ago.
That's a lot of coin to be asking if it's a good deal. However, I will give you my opinion that from the description of it "mostly white coin" that I would likely think it a dog.
Despite it being graded by PCGS, I think a picture of a coin is the only way to get feedback. As we all know, not all coins that have the same third party grade are equal. That said, I look forward to seeing the coin.
