I got these at a local Jewelry and Coin Exchange. The halves were 19x face, so only a little above spot, and the Peace was $25, (Although it may only be a filler, its the scarcest coin in the set, so i thought it was a steal). (Sorry about the small scans; still learning the editing procedure :/ Click the pic to open it and if it doesn't immediately open another tab click it a second time and then you should have zoom capabilities.)
If you are not familiar with Coinflation.com you should check it out. Based on silver spot at $22.24/oz current melt value of a 90% half dollar is $8.04 so two half dollars would be worth $16.08. You paid $19. Current melt value of a silver dollar is $17.20. You paid $25. It may not be a barn-burner of a deal but probably a fair price.
"Scarcest coin in the set"? Are you sure you aren't overlooking an S mintmark? I can't be sure from the photos, but it looks like there's something there. That Barber half looks like a nice G+, and obverse-mint Walkers are always worth a bit of a premium. I would've snatched up both of those at the price, and I might have grabbed the Peace as well -- from what I've seen, they're still a bit hard to get for $25 or less, regardless of the moment's "melt value".
The Walker alone should bring at least $15 on eBay... here's a recent one in lower grade that sold for $18 plus: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1917-D-Obverse-Walking-Liberty-Half-Dollar-AG-2FH4-/230989091571?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item35c805d2f3&nma=true&si=s66e%252BAB1Z%252B4gupLnhRFxlb8rl%252B4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 The Barber about the same: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1906-S-SILV...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 The Peace dollar is about a push, but overall, the three coins were a decent deal.
