I wouldn't suggest using the PCGS price guide, it's usually on the high side. Numismedia is a little more realistic, they list the price for a 55 at $72 Indian Cents NumisMedia Price Guide-Good-MS60

Realized prices are always going to be the most accurate though.

    - Last 2 1863 PCGS AU55s sold on Heritage for $69 and $65, to give you an idea of value.

If I was a dealer that bought one on Heritage for $65.00 and had to pay 12% of the final value to eBay/PayPal plus try to make a little profit I might list it at a price of say $88.00.

BTW that seller is great to deal with I have bought several items from him with great service.

He has a few hefty priced items listed on a few categories....

He is catering to the type collector market some of those prices are that way because some of the things he carries you will not be finding anywhere.

Edit to add for the OP that the item your looking at is a Civil War date item and I was bidding on two half dollars of civil war dates today and both of the items are now bid above their PCGS price guide levels. Just some extra food for thought on a lazy afternoon.

I think they covered it. I recommend joining heritage - a lot of people think there prices are high, but not really. You just have to remember to take into account the buyers premium and shipping when bidding. They are a good source for coins. 88 is probably not too bad for the coin in my opinion.

CU guide is most always high. The posted suggestion to join Heritage, is excellent advice. Great source of more realistic prices. Also, Teletrade is a good gauge.
