I didn't plan on picking up any bills at the last show I went to a few weeks back, but I noticed a paper money dealer with some 1935 $1 silver certs. in his case. Well, I asked to see 'em, and they were all labeled AU. One in particular looked super crisp. In fact, I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I asked the dealer what made it AU and not CU (since I know nothing about grading paper money), and he looked it all over under good lighting and said, "Well, it actually does look CU to me. Not sure why I graded it AU in the first place." I said that I'd take it at the price listed on it, and he sorta looked at me like he knew it was worth more than what he had it priced at, but then said, "Sure." So, I got a 1935G silver cert. for $5 even. Think I made out alright?
