    Well,
The boss was in a pretty good mood today. I was off yesterday and he bought a bunch of "junk silver" quarters. Wanted me to go through them as he had spotted some Standing Liberties and Barbers.

Did as asked and said I'd be interested in a few. Had a small pile and he said since I did all of the work he'd sell at $3 each. COOL!

I picked out 6 Barbers, 5 Standing Liberties and 5 early date Washingtons. ALL no problem coins.
The Standing Liberty with the real weak date is a 1923.

I have to admit he's been pretty good to me on the "common" stuff. He knows I'll most likely sell it and has no problem. Keeps some money flowing in when I'm not there or painting.

    Anyway - here's a pic.

It must be hard to pass up all the coins you'd like to have. Still, for $3 each, you got a nice deal you couldn't go wrong with.

Keep on posting the photos of what you get at work. You'll be amassing a large and varied collection which we all would like to see.

Happy collecting. (And you call that work)

    Bruce,

If you only knew how much I pass on.

I've been there over two months now and bought 8 coins (until the 16 today that is). Six of those eight I sold.

I'll sell all of the Standing Liberties as I have all. Take that back may keep the 1923 till I find a better one.

Washingtons will be gone and probably most of the Barbers. I'm in a position where I need to at least recoup my funds. If I get a few coins "free" when it's done I may keep them.

When this cycle ends I'll start "collecting" again.

Back in the 1990's and silver was in the $4.10 range I bought bags of dimes, I did spot checks but never really looked at them until last year my 3 year old and I went through them. There were several Barbers, 1892 was the earliest date in there. Just amazing to get 100+ year old coins for junk prices.
