good day to metal detect

    My first silver dollar find 1885 S and I cleaned up great found 8 inches down was surrounded by 6 old nails have to admit I was shaking when I seen something silver, big, and round but thanks for looking feel free to post you metal detector finds WP_20150312_001.jpg WP_20150312_002.jpg

    Congrats on a great find my man! I know the feeling of getting a solid hit with my White's MXT and digging a nice big silver like yours. Let us see any more you get,this is just the beginning!...

    Stupendous! Keep digging. Where there's one there may be more. I have not found many coins but I do have a coffee can full of the old square nails.

    Nice coin. In all my years at digging coins, I have never pulled one from the ground that had this look.

    As I scrolled down the page I thought I saw 1895 on the front and my jaw dropped for a second ... still an excellent find nonetheless!! :)

    It looks like you had an incredible day. I still have 2 feet of snow on the ground so it will be a while until I can get back out there. I still have yet to find a morgan.
