My friend works at a bank and sends all the coin machine rejects to me. I’m amazed at what she sends! Lots of Canada coins, world coins, and a lot of interesting tokens. Today’s prize was a 1900 barber dime. My first barber. Before she started sending what the coin machine rejected, she said they were told to just dump the rejected things.
That 1900-S, awesome find! I have to tell you, Danny, we did the same exact thing. Once they told me they just throw these out, I said, no way! The rest is history, we been getting these bags for years. Then they took out their counting machine.
Ed, I hope this continues for awhile more! Some of the stuff is really interesting, some is not so much. I’m finding a lot of Canadian coins, euros, and Australian coinage. Aruba and Bermuda are popular travel spots so I’m finding a lot of their coins. I’ll just save it up for friends who vacation in these locations. A few beers at the bar on me!
Sal, I’ll gladly send them your way if you really enjoy them. I assume your talking about the beat up coins?
