Goldprice affecting numismatic gold coins? Also Aureus?

I know that for over 10 years ago low-graded Byzantine solidus' (normally 4 or 4,5 grams) was often sold for about 200-300 euro. Today they are sold for 550-800 euro.

The reason is clearly (or largely) because the goldprice has pushed it up.

I want to ask how was the situation with the Roman Aureus'?

I can see that low-graded Aureus' cost about 2200-3000 Euro.

How was the price for 10 years ago?

    Thank you.
