Hello-Went through a box a cents and came across this. Is it just funny colored, error, or what? The rim is also this color, and feels like it weighs less than any other cent. Sorry guys, but these are commonly promoted in Coin World. The brassy look is from zinc planchets falling into the plating mix and causing the brass color in the plating. They are slabbed as 'Brass" cents. (As oppsed to copper plate). I may have my chemistry mixed up, but that is how they are advertised.
