Here is a gold Wreath Crown from the Spink 2001 Patina Sale, purportedly unique for variety:

It is Great Britain. 39.9 gms. gold net. I paid 550 pounds for it in 2001. PCGS would not slab it. I did slab another 1910 St George & Dragon with NGC.

    Jewellers copy ?
What reason did PCGS give for not slabbing ?

It is not listed in a catalog (ie Unusual Coins by Krause last issued in 2011) even though those versions struck in silver or bronze are. They were Struck by INA, and there is quite a series from 2000-2001 which was expanded upon some 10 years later...When I gave them (PCGS) the reference of Spink sale that did not move them at all.
Gotta love it when they hunker down and don't care what your references are.

Basically I got it because I have a certified set of Wreath Crown Proofs, 1927-36 and then a top specimen of each of the currency dates; but even then the price was essentially bullion and so couldn't go wrong.
