    Hi All, I need more information about this gold coin from Sicily
    It is about 43 gm and 36 mm diameter

    What makes you think that it is gold?

    Hi, Thanks for your reply,
    I check it with gold expert and he said that it is a pure gold he says it is mix of 16 to 18 gold

    I'm confused, how can one claim it's pure gold if it is CLEARLY a mix??? 23kt is not pure to me. Makes no sense to me.

    Its not real gold, most likely brass. Its not even a real coin, its an atrocious counterfeit of a Syracusan tetradrachm. Fakes of these coins are exceedingly common.

    well is that mean that at the period of this coin it should be a pure 100% gold?
    I notice also that the other similar coins was silver, is that means that no gold coins was casting from this coin?
