I found a gold nickel the other day. its from 1983 and i was wondering what the value of it may be and if anyone has seen one.
Unfortunately,your coin is most likely Gold plated as a novelty piece.The only other alternative,a wrong planchet error,would have been impossible in 1983.Still,as a novelty coin,it should be worth about $2.00 to a collector of such novelty pieces. ~ Jim
That would be something if it were actually struck on a gold planchet, but since they're done in a different mint location, I'd think it's impossible too.
