This half dollar is very interesting to the eye, not toned naturally, but I like the look and will hold on to it. I am open to ideas as to how it became this color, though.

A friend of mine makes gun powder seasoning. As far as I know it's real gun powder in the mix. Be he is a crazy sort of fellow.
I have read the pirates added gun powder to their rum. Of course given gross taste that some rums have, that might have been an improvement. Bacadi got their start in the 1860s by finding ways to make it smoother.
It's probably just me, but those photos make the gold coin appear larger than the sample next to it. Odd.
