content .24187 ounce of gold. which is better than 1/10 oz and a little bit lower than 1/4 oz. bullion value around $181.40. and retail price over $225.00.

The $5 bullion coins have 1/10 ozof gold, but the commemorative $5 gold coins are of the same standard as the pre-1933 half eagles ($5) just under a quarter oz of gold as elaine said.

The gold commems from the 80s are frequently available at great prices and are a good way to buy gold.
