Gold colored SBA

    image.jpeg Came across this 1999 gold colored SBA , I have several normal 99 SBAs but this is the only gold one I have seen . I'm not a dollar coin collector & the limited books I have don't any info on them. Question is..is this coin supposed to be gold or has it been colored. Thanks in advance

    No, it is not supposed to be gold. It is my guess that it was colorized for some aftermarket promotion.

    Alot of them were plated to make jewelry - your coin looks harshly polished.
