I have been collecting coins my entire life, but now that I am getting older I have the means to pursue it past collecting Canadian coins, bicentennial quarters, and various other "findables"...lol

I now have in my collection a $5 gold indian piece and a $20 liberty both in high grade conditions, in my opinion, compared to online grading aids. My question is, do you recommend spending the money to register or grade the coins with a reputable coin grading company? If so what is the best way to go about doing this? Any suggestions as to which company is best?

    Thank you for your opinions!

First of all you need to post pics of the coins so we can have a look at them to determine if it is likely that they should be graded. As to the second part of your question, read this - http://www.cointalk.com/t199856/

If they are not uncirculated (Mint State/MS) and they are common dates, it wouldn't be worth it to get them certified, since they are more or less bullion coins.
