gold clad Eisenhower Double dated dolalr coin

    Its been a while since I posted here last..but I have wonder of how much this coin is worth, I know what it is.. but I havent been able to find as much info on it as Id have liked so I felt to ask you fine people for your opinions.

    I'd say around $5 , just for nostalgic purposes , give or take a few bucks , but on ebay you never know .

    I would say it is worth about $1.02 (the 2 cents being the value of the gold plating).

    Like the slab insert says, the coin was minted by the US Mint. But the US Mint did not punch the stars or the dates (1945 & 1985) into the obverse fields (someone else did that).

    worth the melt value, maybe, to get that gold off the coin, which is ruined by counter-stamps and not a money-coin with 92+million of that year & mint mark produced.
