I do like the 2nd one more also, curious on any pics of the titanium one gonna maybe randomly pop up in this thread nay time soon??? hmm
Very - Very nice Is that a sub I see along side that sailing ship? Anonther coin I need to add to the list .. Thanks for sharing
Yep it is a very early sub, not sure which one though and to be honest I thought the 1st British sub was comissioned in 1901? Here is the Blue Titanium :smile I have posted it previously so apologies to those who have allready seen it.
Thanks guy's appreciated as for the Titanium coins I also have the following coins Virgin Islands (British) $5 2004 Titanium 2p Red British Guiana (Worlds Rarest Stamp) 2005 Titanium 4p Green Inverted Swan (Western Australia) Unfortunatly have not come across any new ones since I got the Millenium one a year or so back
Nice pieces! I particularly like that blue Blue Mauritius coin. As for other ones, Austria issued two bimetallic silver-titanium "Millennium" coins in 2000 and 2001. Links only because those do not really belong in here. 2000 - Communication: http://www.austrian-mint.com/images/user/635.jpg http://www.austrian-mint.com/images/user/636.jpg 2001 - Mobility: http://www.austrian-mint.com/images/user/632.jpg http://www.austrian-mint.com/images/user/633.jpg The central part of either piece is titanium. But in these cases, the bimetallic effect is almost lost ... Christian
These are called "collector's coins" because they're not really legal tender and were never intended to circulate. Most of these coins never got anywhere NEAR the contries they claim to be from. I've BEEN to the British Virgin Islands, and they don't sell these things in souvenier shops. They use American Dollars and American coins. I"ve been to Gibralter, and that's slightly different. But their contract with the Pubjoy mint has expired.
