Getting back into it & why I'm enjoying it

    Wow.

    I got out of coin and PM collecting (accumulating) about 30 years ago.

    About a month ago, decided to jump back in with the purchase of a 2017 1 ounce gold eagle from the US Mint.

    What I like -

    PM's don't require batteries, internet access, software upgrades, tech support.

    Just a good solid feeling in the hand.

    You're right. Coins and PMs are a nice low-tech collectible. We can enhance the experience with Internet technology and photography and all that, but when you get right down to it, that's all optional.

    And gold is eternal.
