I've been thinking that I want to stock up on some Nazi Reichmark silver coins but I have had some trouble getting solid information on what years contain what percent of silver. Coud someone write me up a little "cheat sheet" on which years/denominations have what % silver?

the 2 marks have little silver the 5 marks have more i have some 5 marks that arent nazi 1950s that contain .2250 silver which i paid a little more then $5. most dealers have foreign silver like this at melt price. id get a few nazi silvers just to have but its not a good ideal to collect them just for silver since you will pay more then just melt the 1950s five marks have a nice design and are cheap. i have one that is a little over 1 million mintage and got it for melt

also nazi only used silver in the first couple years of the war

It's pretty simply. Only the 2 Reichmark and 5 Reichmark coins contained silver. The 2RM were 62.5% (0.1607oz) and the 5RM were 90% (0.4016oz). These were only minted 1934-39.
