That year/mintmark combination is not exactly rare; if you want to buy one, it may cost about €10. In unc you would have to pay quite a bit more. The absolute minimum would be €2.56 as the piece is still redeemable here in Germany. ;) By the way, I have my doubts about that "AU" ...

Think more of the value is in the silver that is in the coin than in €2.56 in exchange value though.

That's why I mentioned the "absolute minimum". ;) A dealer who focuses on the metal value may pay something like €4.50 over here.

I have seen this type of coin before and I agree it is worth it's weight in silver and maybe a small premium. I also agree with chrisild that it is not AU and more likely XF.
    Also, the eagle is awesome.

Not really sure how you can compare a completely different year and mint mark to the OP's coin.

Not to mention you are looking at an asking price. Notice it is still available?

Here is another 1957 F for sale. Asking $25. Still too high.

The coin has a weight of 11.2 grams with a fineness of 625/1000 which means it contains 7 grams fine silver, numismatic value is rather low in this condition <13$ (<--Germ. perhaps more in the US).
