Anybody know what this coin might be worth? I did my best to research it ... but am curious what the experts here might think.... thanks for looking. This is what I could find out about it on the Internet: This is a German 5 Mark coin from the kingdom of Wuerttemberg featuring king Karl I (1864-91). There were 897,000 minted in Freudenstadt (F) that year. This coin should weigh 27.777 grams and would contain .8038 of an ounce of silver.
... and about €30 in Fine. Comes closer to this particular coin, I think (probably a little less). The portrait was designed by Christian Schnitzspahn, and "F" was - and still is in today's Germany - the Stuttgart mintmark. Christian
