Does anybody know anything about this coin??
    Is it a pattern??
Sorry about the pics - didn't photograph well. probably needs artificial light
My Krause does not list this coin without a mint mark

Could that be a worn "J" maybe?

Nope - It is blank where the mint mark should be.
Pics don't show but coin is almost uncirculated.

Right, much better photo! I still think that is a "J" below the eagle. (For others who are not familiar with those coins but would like to help here: The mint mark should be at the very bottom of the eagle side, between the wreaths and the dotted line.) The coin itself looks somewhat cleaned but the details of the eagle for example are well visible, so yes, good condition ... maybe the mintmark area is weakly struck?

farmer, i have a coin just like yours - except on mine with a lot of imagination so can just about see the outline of an 'A' Berlin Mintmark. Because of this, and the overall 'feel' and look of the coin i came to the conclusion my specimen is a fake. This would not be all that unusual.

I think you are right -
If I use my imagination I think there is a faint 'J'.
